Austrian State Award for Exemplary Packaging for Rondo
In the context of the Austrian State Award for Exemplary Packaging, Rondo Ganahl AG received the special award of the ARS System 2009.
This award recognises measures in the packaging sector that considerably contribute to resource conservation and waste prevention.
The clever corrugated board packaging made of mono-material for Gmundner Keramik, in which up to ten different sizes of bowls can be packed, convinced the expert jury both with its high product protection and low use of material as well as the markedly reduced packaging costs.
Apart from this award, Rondo's development teams around Georg Glieder and Sencer Kurtulus can also boast two other nominations for the "State Award Ecemplary Packaging 2009".
- Mono-material packaging with low us of packaging for Geberit
- Display base with integrated support framework for Kotányi GmbH
These days not only design and function but also recyclability and the energy use during production and disposal place high demands on intelligent and ecologically sensible packaging solutions.
Both motivated employees and state-of-the-art technologies of the kind that is used in all of Rondo’s corrugated board plants in Frastanz (Vorarlberg), St. Ruprecht/Raab (Styria), Budapest (Hungary), Apahida/Cluj and Târgoviste (Romania) are prerequisites to meet these requirements.
