The Ganahl Group is actively committed to environmental protection, increasing energy efficiency, and contributing to climate protection through targeted measures. The Ganahl Group primarily relies on electricity and natural gas as its energy sources.

Progress 2021–2025

The Ganahl Group has already achieved measurable progress:

  • CO2 emissions (Scope 1 + 2): Reduction of -9.1%

Goals by 2030

  • Electric energy: Electricity procurement will be fully covered from 100% renewable sources in the future.
  • Thermal energy: Existing natural gas boilers will be gradually electrified; in addition, the residual materials power plant will cover a significant share of the heat demand.
  • Promotion of electromobility: Our entire vehicle fleet will transition to electric vehicles, gradually phasing out diesel and petrol vehicles.

As part of the Science Based Targets initiative, the Ganahl Group is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Scopes 1 and 2 by 42% by 2030, compared to the baseline year 2021.
